Watched parts of Rush Time Machine live in Cleveland. I always enjoy watching / listening to Alex playing a Telecaster. Vital Signs is technically fascinating as he pedals in and out of delay so precisely. The band's musical timing on stage was exceptional.

Music can be a TARDIS. Each time I hear the chorus of Antmusic I can sense myself entering the Cross Keys pub and nervously approaching the bar hoping that I would be served without huge embarrassment. I think a pint of lager was 35p. I was 20 but looked about 15 and remember vividly being asked for proof of age on my 21st birthday. So many songs from those days and earlier transport me to the time. Songs and Tabac aftershave. I might look online to see if it's still available for a nostalgic sniff. I don't know why I wore it then as I probably hadn't started shaving yet.

Great days indeed. My undying love for most things synthesiser was kindled back then. Some fantastic pop music in that decade and probably my favourite pop era. However, the other week I received one of those unsolicited Facebook posts which listed the top 100 album releases of 1976. I just couldn't believe the magnificence of the titles contained therein. We were truly so fortunate to grow up in our age of music.

Border Collies are pretty good on spatial awareness though.

Strange the divisions even within Christianity itself that occasions like this highlight. Listening to The Lord's Prayer at the ceremony just now, where the additional Protestant ending is disputed.

The coffin is lead lined and therefore sealed. This is because it is an above ground burial. The lead lining prevents the ingress of air and moisture thus slowing decomposition. Not a very nice subject but widely reported and explained in the news sites online.

I don't know how religion could ever be eliminated from human need. We live in an incredible age of scientific enlightenment. The James Webb telescope now points the guess towards a universe of two trillion galaxies. I can't even begin to fathom the scale of our own galaxy. NP's voiceover at the beginning of the Exit video mentions the "what if" question. Despite our huge advancements in knowledge I don't think mankind will ever even scratch the surface of the mysteries we are a part of. Thinking about it this should be in the thread prior to this but I suppose it's all part and parcel of the same question to which there is no real answer. That's the reason I never argue with people about faith. Bizarrely, only the faithful might be able to win such an argument one day.

That sounds worse than I would have hoped after a couple of days considering the vaccinations. Maybe better I catch this now at long last before some Autumn / Winter variant flexes its spikes. Very few mask wearers in the shops this morning and even Waitrose's sanitiser dispenser seems to have dried up.
