Beginning to become optimistic about being reunited with a bass guitar (my first proper one) after spotting something for sale online. I've been doing a lot of Googling and emailing bass guitar sites and got a couple of good pointers regarding the guitar's history over the weekend. One came from an old TNMSer who might just have given me the info I need to put this to bed one way or another. I found the original receipt for the bass yesterday. Dated 21/12/79. 2112 day 😁. It must be a sign. I hope it comes home as it was a present from my late mum and dad and thinking about it now my dad only made it through another 11 months. Wow, never thought of that before and wasn't expecting those tears just now.

I saw Mariusz and MikaƂ from Riverside outside a cafe in Bristol and they thanked me for my support, saying it's nice to see familiar faces.

Not at all like Neil Peart, but they did snigger when I walked off...

According to Census results, the majority of Scotland's population now have no religion.

Well done, you Scots, keep it up. :)

And you know what, Matt, it shows.

But not to worry, plenty of religious fanaticism will be evident at 3.00pm and onwards this coming Saturday.

I wonder what the figures will be like for the UK as a whole in a couple of censuses time. I think the result might be influenced by religions other than Protestant and Roman Catholic.

First of a couple of days off, tonight seeing pop-rock god Richard Marx at the Royal Albert Hall.

Oh, and Jersey has just voted to legalise assisted dying for the terminally ill.

The Isle Of Man is on a pathway to follow suit.

Hopefully the rest of the U.K. will catch up before the end of the '20s.

This came up on my Facebook feed and made me smile. A US air traffic controller received a call from a pilot requesting clearance to 50,000 feet. The controller was slightly annoyed and asked him how he hoped to achieve such height. It was an SR-71 Blackbird pilot who replied."Actually sir, we were hoping to descend to that flight level".

David Lynch has appeared on social media for the first time in almost 18 months - in a short teaser video promising something unspecified being released on "June 5".

I suspect it will mark the resumption of his daily YouTube "weather reports", but hoping for something much more significant.

I was browsing a page for Rolls-Royce and Associates alumni on Facebook, and noticed a comment under a post made by someone was a director when I worked there. I only met him a couple of times but his wife was my boss for about three years. So I clicked on his own page and lo and behold, photos of his family, including my old boss.

She would have been about 45 I think, when I left there 30 years ago. Really odd to see images of her in the present day.
