Yes, love that intro. The loose feel of that drum pattern followed by Geddy popping notes high on the neck.

STV News website rightly praising Dunoon Grammar for an international education award it received. Then spelling Dunoon as Dunnon in the photo caption.

Bit of a phew, today. Tried a daft hunch from nowhere on line three and it paid off, but could just have easily blown it for me. Seven minutes all in.

Thank you. Clear now. I'm glad it's this and not actual clues like a crossword. It would spoil the concept.

Failure. Made a mistake on the fourth word by disregarding a clue. Careless. Not sure how that was possible as I have "hard mode" enabled in the browser.

Am I missing part of the game? I didn't realise there are modes or clues. Do I need to have a NYT account for more content?

One minute flat today. Had a bit of a chuckle when the third line unfolded.

Another negative test this morning so I guess it's been some other form of fluey misery for the past couple of days. It did seem more gastric than perhaps I would expect COVID to be. I was strangely disappointed when the second line didn't appear after a slightly delirious night again, as I was hoping to rid myself of this spectre at last. Will probably steer clear of the takeaway I used on Saturday night just in case they poisoned me.

Thought if would have been easier having the last two letters today, but struggled a bit. Five minutes. Didn't think I'd be doing it today. Off to bed early yesterday evening with really bad 'flu symptoms. Tested negative this morning so I'm assuming some other nasty bug doing the rounds. Will test again tomorrow I think, just in case.

I'm jealous of this. I recently enjoyed my first Negroni and I think it would have become a regular tipple until I discovered that Campari and vermouth have traces of herbs which I'm best to avoid from a heart rhythm perspective. The gin's probably not a great idea either, but one has to draw a line somewhere.😁

I've only just started taking screenshots of my games, so here are my last five;

PAINT
BRACE
TRAIN
STAIN
PROUD

I notice we both had train.

This now has a worrying grip on me. Not long after I awake I start to think about what my start word might be. Something usually randomly usually comes to me quite quickly. Two minutes today. Thought I had it as the third word unfolded, then I was sure on the fourth and was taken aback when it wasn't. Took a moment and ran through the remaining letters and was slightly relieved I hadn't picked in haste.

Making breakfast this morning. No idea why it suddenly started playing in my head.

I just had a bit of a read online about Sweet's singer Brian Connolly. He had a lot of misfortune in his life. I'd completely forgotten however that he was the adopted (at birth) brother of Taggart (Mark McManus).
