What's made you grumpy today?

I used to like a Breakaway back in the day. Felt a little indulgent with an interesting biscuit whereas a Blue Riband was sadly lacking in chocolate and much too 'wafery'. Penguins were shit too.
I've gone over to the 'dark side'. If it's a Kit Kat, it has to be dark chocolate. Same with a Tunnock's wafer. Dark is the way to go

The Picnic Wasp

I think the Breakaway recipe changed at one point. I used to like them but recently I found them overly sweet. I don't like Fox's biscuits for the same reason. Wish the Bar Six would make a comeback although it would no doubt also be changed for the worse. The way Double Deckers started off delicious so they decided to change them into objects to cause dental damage.

What about a twix......?
That's more of a chocolate bar than a biscuit, though.  Even the small ones - it doesn't feel like something I'd want of an evening.

Sorry to  come across as full of evangelical zeal but since the heart scare I've really cut back on sugar.  If it had been invented today it would be banned I'm sure.

It's the cause of so much ill health.

Diabetes, heart disease, obesity, teeth cavities, the list goes on.  So if changing recipes keeps people away from chocolate and biscuits etc, this can only be a good thing.

Keep it up Mars, Cadbury etc etc.

Anything scarce in nature is what we seem to crave. Thing is: there's a reason why it's scarce, large quantities are not good for you.

So when was sugar invented? Would you like to ban fruit?

The root cause of so much ill health is lack of self control. Everything in moderation, that's what I say - except red wine and dark chocolate digestives :)

You need to be careful with fruit and juicing it will certainly spike your insulin levels to a high degree. Eating it whole is better but as you say moderation is key.

EDIT: In fact orange juice isn't much better for you than coca cola!

Yo sushi - every time I go, they're underrated and underprepared and the prices are sky high.  And got home and they've skipped 2 of the items that were ordered.  And it was cold.  Scathing complaint made online.  Hopefully they'll send me a compensatory voucher...
