Quote from: captainkurtz on February 08, 2024, 09:59:10 PMDisappointed.  As an evening biscuit it takes some beating.  Much better than kitkat, club, pickup or the dreadful blue ribband.

What about a twix......?
That's more of a chocolate bar than a biscuit, though.  Even the small ones - it doesn't feel like something I'd want of an evening.

Shit.  I love breakaways.  Just the right ratio of chocolate to biscuit...

Quote from: Slim on January 30, 2024, 07:26:56 PMReally sorry to hear. I think about my own mortality a lot more than I used to.
Me as well.  I think I have done since 2010 when my dad died.  But definitely more in the last few years;  I certainly feel a lot older.

Unfortunately, retirement isn't really an option for at least another decade, if ever.

Bought tickets last March for the family to see Life of Pi at the theatre royal - cancelled an hour before.  The final performance of a 4 night run as well...

Never mind, £225 back in my account and home watching the Newcastle match..

Quote from: Slim on January 26, 2024, 01:40:24 PMGot to say, he's really milking the signature gear thing. Ebony fingerboard and stainless steel frets, very nice. But it's the sort of money you'd spend on a Suhr so I hope it's very well made.

Yes, I think he's trying to hang onto Geddy's coattails in the business stakes. He also sounded ever so slightly miffed in his recent interview about Geddy's failure to invite him for a coffee and jam.
My take on his recent interviews is he has really dialled back any expectation that Rush are regrouping - largely caused by Geddy's rather uncharacteristic remarks about that happening around the time of the book tour..

You have an excellent way with words and a dry sense of humour, Slim/James.  Obviously, ridiculously intelligent too.  It seems you've led quite an interesting life.  I'd read it.
