I find, as I get older, I'm not that keen on flying, either.  Across the board, I'm generally a little more anxious about things as well...

My job.

It's ridiculous.  I really need to change things up a bit.

I sold my Rammstein ticket about a month ago, realising that I just wouldn't be able to make it because of work.  Weirdly, I had a positive covid test the day of the gig and my return train from kings cross the next morning was cancelled and I got a full refund.  I hadn't got around to organising how I was actually going to get to Coventry...

Whens the Hampden show on sale?  It was announced weeks ago..

The first 3 records and 2011's 'Wasting Light' are all essential and there's enough brilliant songs on the rest of their output to ensure that their gigs are all fantastic.

I've seen them a tonne of times (although not since 2007) and they played every gig as though it was their last.  They are incredible live and DG has morphed from a rather awkward and shy frontman to one of the very best.

At heart, DG and Taylor are/were massive rock fans..and I think that's evident in their output and collaborations and by just how excited they all seemed to be whenever they were doing what it was they were doing...

Wonder who will drum with Geddy and Alex.  The thought of either Omar Hakim or Stewart Copeland playing with them is blowing my mind..

Got a standing this morning.  Well happy.

Taylor loved Liam and it was mutual, so his inclusion is justified.

Can't believe emotion detector, available light and different strings were never played live.  The latter 2 would have been way better for geddys vocal abilities in the later years.

Assorted Police.  Christ, they were great.  The perfect band, the perfect career arc.

I still find it a head scratcher that he's getting rid of them.  Really does seem like the end of an era now.

What a guy.  Love the man.

I'm sure you'd also enjoy Revolution in the Head, if you've not already read it.

Mick Walls are all worth a read.
I love Mark Blake's Queen, Peter Grant, Pink Floyd and The Who's books.
Similarly, Paul Trynka's books on Iggy Pop, David Bowie and Brian Jones are meticulously researched and eminently readable.
Barney Hoskins Zeppelin book is excellent.
Keith Richards autobiography'Life' is a hoot.
Tony Fletcher's 'Dear Boy' about Keith Moon is superb.
Under The Ivy - Kate Bush, again, superbly researched and very illuminating.
'Nothin' to Lose' by Ken Sharp on the early kiss years.
Walk this Way - Aerosmith by Hammer of the Gods author, Stephen Davis.
Loved Dave Groh's storyteller book.
Neil Young's Shakey.
What you want is in the Limo - Michael Walker
Roomful of Mirrors or Setting the Record Straight - Hendrix books.

Not music related, but I enjoyed the recent Bob Mortimer book.  Really touching in parts and a lot of his feelings mirrored my own..
