I saw them only once, 40 years ago this summer at Roundhay Park. Supported by J Geils Band, George Thorogood and Joe Jackson.

Good gig but there was no doubt the Stones were past their best even then and already people were joking about their age and supposing they'd be calling it a day soon. I don't think anyone could have imagined they'd be touring 20-odd years into the 21st century.

Mick & Keef are 80 next year.

According to Rick Beato. I'm watching this for the first time while I'm typing this, and guessing he's going to say Limelight, although I wouldn't agree.

This is the corner of Red Post Hill and East Dulwich Grove, pictured this morning. For years I'd walk this way very often from my flat, turning the corner here to North Dulwich Railway Station, which you can just see to the left of the bus. 'Er indoors and I have been staying at a hotel near here so I've been using the station again for trips into the West End.

I've only been back to this leafy corner of South-East London once, maybe twice in the last twenty years. Yet it felt so familiar, like I'd never been away. I liked that.

Used local trains in London for three days in a row from Saturday to yesterday. Trains sometimes near-full. Only a few people wearing face coverings.

But to be honest I'd rather get it now before the booster jab in December wears off; it must already be waning in effectiveness.

Took a long time to think of the solution after the first two goes, today. Was trying to think of a noun.

Walking round my old stamping ground, East Dulwich this morning. Heard a loud squawk, looked up and saw three parrots taking flight from a tree overhead.

I've been pleased to see that same Brexit spirit in the Ukrainian people these last weeks. Haven't heard what the PM has said, will check later.

As for Russian money and the Conservative Party - a Conservative PM has assumed the mantle of Leader of the Free World in this crisis. No country has done more to help the Ukrainians resist Russia. So I'd love to know what you think those Russian donors got for their money.

Cases (by date reported), updated yesterday at https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/cases

Hospitalisations are up as well, but that's not reflected in the number of people being ventilated, which has increased only very slightly.

Heard this morning that three million people in the UK are currently infected, more than at any time during the pandemic.
