I wanted to do this on TNMS but could not upload from my camera. Now that we know how here's the thread.
This is the corner of Red Post Hill and East Dulwich Grove, pictured this morning. For years I'd walk this way very often from my flat, turning the corner here to North Dulwich Railway Station, which you can just see to the left of the bus. 'Er indoors and I have been staying at a hotel near here so I've been using the station again for trips into the West End.
I've only been back to this leafy corner of South-East London once, maybe twice in the last twenty years. Yet it felt so familiar, like I'd never been away. I liked that.

From a few weeks back. the aftermath of a great night watching Franck Carducci and the Fantastic Squad at Jimmy's in Liverpool.
They put on a real show, it's not just excellent music - try and catch them next time they're over from France 👌
I'd recovered from Covid just in time thankfully, I'm the ginga goon with the King's X t-shirt in the middle 😂

Tried my best following Slim's guide but to no avail!
:)
I edited the pic in. You just missed out the last step - you'd used the photo web page rather than the photo itself in the IMG tags.

This is the famous Helix Kelpies in Falkirk. It's pretty close to where I live. I tried using the IMG tags but it didn't work.
[Admin edit : fixed!]

Having just spotted this section I thought I'd beg your indulgence as I continue my hunt for a decent shot of a Red Kite. They're pretty common around these 'ere parts so I get plenty of practice! Anyways, this is one from a couple of days ago, passing over the back garden...small crop and sharpened up a teeny bit.

Just back from a couple of days in Ieper which included a visit to a place called Pond Farm where there just happened to be a replica MK IV Tank. 43 tonnes and built using the original blueprints and powered by a JCB engine (I think). An impressive beast!

I assume you have been down to Bovington to see their collection of WW1 tanks. Very impressive

Actually, no I haven't. It's on my 'to do' list mind you...

Nice day out and Lolworth bay is nearby too
Seaton Carew, this morning. Went to a gig in Cullercoats and stayed at a hotel in Hartlepool. Took this on the way back.

The P&O cruise ship Arcadia, passing under the 25 de Abril Bridge, which runs over the Tagus river near Lisbon, on Saturday evening. The upper tier carries road traffic, the lower tier railway tracks.

USAF B-52H Stratofortress landing at RAF Fairford a week or so ago. Despite living fairly close by this was the first time I had been down during a Bomber Deployment. We get them flying over our house in Witney as they turn on to approach to Fairford but, seeing and hearing this beast just feet away was quite something!
Interestingly, this particular one had been mothballed for many years but was recalled, rebuilt and recommissioned after another aircraft was lost in a fire. Nicknamed 'Wise Guy' she is 60 years old this year!

The first B52 flew 70 years ago, amazing that they're still in service.
Late evening off the coast of Portugal last Thursday, en route to Porto.

When the largest plane in the World the Antanov 225 came to Shannon in Ireland (the only airport in the republic with a long enough runway for it to land) we had to go. My son is a huge plane buff. The noise and size of it were something to behold

The cockpit opens up to allow the cargo to be removed - it was full of Covid supplies for this delivery. Unfortunately it is now a victim of the war in Ukraine and no longer exists

Managed to see the An225 on her last visit to Brize. Annoyingly there were so many folk at the end of the runway she was expected to land at that they came in the other end, where 2 blokes and a flock of sheep watched her land ::)
Managed to catch her taking off though!

Two years ago today I was in Hartlepool. I didn't usually cycle to the Headland, in fact I think this was the only time I ever did that.

I bought a new lens recently but haven't had much chance to play with it yet. But, managed to wander around a local lake the other day and try to get my head around it's variables. Have to say, quite pleased with this Chaffinch, they really are wonderful little birds :)
(For those interested the lens is a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 Contemporary, ie the budget version! Relatively lightweight but still a bit of a brute).

Superb photo. The clouds look very angry.
Mrs G captured this image of a salmon leaping at the Falls of Shin on an iPhone last week:

Quite fascinating how how crisply the entire profile of the salmon appears against the torrent. Amazing quality for an iPhone photo.
This is a brief video capture from my own phone.
