Actually, no I haven't. It's on my 'to do' list mind you...

Nice day out and Lolworth bay is nearby too

Seaton Carew, this morning. Went to a gig in Cullercoats and stayed at a hotel in Hartlepool. Took this on the way back.

The P&O cruise ship Arcadia, passing under the 25 de Abril Bridge, which runs over the Tagus river near Lisbon, on Saturday evening. The upper tier carries road traffic, the lower tier railway tracks.

USAF B-52H Stratofortress landing at RAF Fairford a week or so ago. Despite living fairly close by this was the first time I had been down during a Bomber Deployment. We get them flying over our house in Witney as they turn on to approach to Fairford but, seeing and hearing this beast just feet away was quite something!

Interestingly, this particular one had been mothballed for many years but was recalled, rebuilt and recommissioned after another aircraft was lost in a fire. Nicknamed 'Wise Guy' she is 60 years old this year!

The first B52 flew 70 years ago, amazing that they're still in service.

When the largest plane in the World the Antanov 225 came to Shannon in Ireland (the only airport in the republic with a long enough runway for it to land) we had to go.  My son is a huge plane buff.  The noise and size of it were something to behold

The cockpit opens up to allow the cargo to be removed - it was full of Covid supplies for this delivery.  Unfortunately it is now a victim of the war in Ukraine and no longer exists

Managed to see the An225 on her last visit to Brize. Annoyingly there were so many folk at the end of the runway she was expected to land at that they came in the other end, where 2 blokes and a flock of sheep watched her land  ::)

Managed to catch her taking off though!

A rainy day in NW Leics ended in bright sunshine. Briefly. Taken a couple of hours ago.

Out walking by the Ashby de la Zouch canal on New Year's Day and snapped a couple of pics.

Two years ago today I was in Hartlepool. I didn't usually cycle to the Headland, in fact I think this was the only time I ever did that.

I bought a new lens recently but haven't had much chance to play with it yet. But, managed to wander around a local lake the other day and try to get my head around it's variables. Have to say, quite pleased with this Chaffinch, they really are wonderful little birds :)

(For those interested the lens is a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 Contemporary, ie the budget version! Relatively lightweight but still a bit of a brute).

Storm clouds over North-West Leicestershire. A thunderstorm followed about six minutes later.

Superb photo. The clouds look very angry.
