The FFL is a genuine thing which celebrates French sporting losses, ask Alain Philippe. I deal only in facts.

I wish I could report on the fact that the French had a dreadful morning session in the Track Cycling, but alas one of their sprinters made it through to the last 16 in a repechage.

And he's just been pounded by Harrie Lavreysen

If he only qualified through repechage he was never going to be a challenger. Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂

Hattrick Harry has quite some work ahead of him. He'll make it though.

And Marit Bouwmeester has won the sailing officially. Another one to add to the collection. We are at 9 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze now. More to follow!

Any French loss is a good loss. And a performance by the best in the world is one to savour. Anything that can shut up that bloody awful tuneless "Allez les Bleus" chant is to be welcomed, it's worse than the McDonalds whistle to those of us with Misophonia,

Cannot be sure that the crims are the best in the world with Ethan Hayter slipping from his saddle just as we were coming back.

Bronze for the Women's Team Pursuit, with Kristen Faulkner getting a second Gold of the games for the winning USA (BOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!) I was rooting for the Laser Kiwis.

In the Men's sprint 1/8 finals Team GB&NI squeak two men through, Jack Carlin by 0.004s and Hamish Turnbull by 0.001s

failure for your man Hudson-Smith. He just stopped speeding and the American took off there.

Nickslikk2112

Damn that Seppo, where did he come from?

Team GB&NI have a mastery of becoming first losers.

British Athletics going downhill since Ray Smedley...

British and European record. He was fading about the same rate as the rest, just got pipped.

And yet another Gold medal. 10k open water swimming (open sewer swimming?) won by Sharon van Rouwendaal, just like she did in 2016. Fantastic performance. 2021 she had silver.

We are at 10 gold medals already, our record is 12 so there is a likelihood we will break that!

Slim

We're stuck on 12, wondering if we're going to get any more.

Doubt it. A nation of chokers.

Nickslikk2112

What do I know?

A team GB&NI woman has unchoked and won Gold in the Kite Surfing.

Thenop

And we won bronze, unexpected. Nice surprise.
