Wow nice. But the price? Geez.

Ridiculous. He hardly played this. It's a side snare at 13x3". You can see it in the setup picture on the upper far left, it is an effect drum. Not a main snare and therefore unlikely to have been used much. The 'appraisal' email shown indicates a value between 100-200K. No idea why. Must be a collectors thing.
Not a fan of the colour either. It is a DW handmade no doubt, finished to the highest standard and for that it would have probably cost around 3K to make.

Now, one of the Slingerlands he used in the 70s,that I get.
