Had a minor accident in the van on September 10th.  Insurance company have still not sorted a repair.

SSE - fkin idiots.  Ombudsman claim lodged.

Didn't get planning permission for a project at a student property I manage - would have made it infinitely better for tenants  - and I had to chase and chase for a response from them as they were 8 weeks late.

Still waiting for a decision on my garage build - should have had the decision in November.  Newcastle City Council are just shit.

Just received a copy of 'Sad Clowns and Hillbillies' by John Mellencamp (feat. Carlene Carter) on vinyl. It was a fair price but why is virtually every LP I buy on heavyweight vinyl dish-warped?  >:( Seems impossible to produce flat records nowadays

I'm not a vinyl collector but I remember the many times I left records in my mini in the 80's that would warp in the heat of a summers day.

Yes that would do it but....new records? I think they may be trying to produce them too quickly and are removing them from the press before cooled sufficiently

There's crap pressing plants and there are brilliant pressing plants.  Just received Neil Young's live at the Fillmore, pressed at Pallas and it's immaculate, totally flat and pop and crackle free.

Had to kill a fox once, did it myself with a spade. I'm quite used to despatching rabbits this way after the cats have left them half alive but the fox was a bigger beast. I felt like a psychopathic killer, anyway it was the best thing to do as it was suffering and barely conscious.

Both my parents have gone down with Covid. So far they are not particularly unwell but I am worried as they are both well into their 80s. At least its now and not a year ago.

Why don't people respond to emails on Ebay, do they want to sell their items.

Mum has CV19! she seems fine though.

Squash team game last night, had to rush one of our team to the hospital with a suspected heart attack. He felt strange after the game and could not settle, had to lie down, called 999, Ambulance did not turn up. Transferred to stoke specialist heart hospital this morning.

Very weird 24 hours.
