My clumsy statement reminded me last night of the old Whiskas advert which had to change due to complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority. It used to be "Eight out of ten owners said their cat prefers it". After the complaints they had to change it to "Eight out of ten owners, who expressed a preference, said their cat prefers it". Maybe that was the Big Bang moment of our PC society.
