Unreal. He likes Les Pauls a lot. Very nice to know how he feels about the Greeny Les Paul, he definitely respects its history.

Nice one, watched the Greeny bit. Kirk is just such a sweetheart. Whenever I hear him talk he always reminds me of Ace Frehley. Just a guy who loves guitars and guitar playing that ended up in a band of businessmen. He's a bit more down to earth than Ace (everybody is) but he is a dreamer.

I watched the Paul Stanley one a while back, also worth the watch, for very different reasons. He had all the classic guitars in the 70s and sold them, then started buying again as of '94. But he has some lovely custom guitars as well. I don't know, I don't play guitar but I have a soft spot for the instrument.

In other news: Lars Ulrich, his compadre on drums has a Tama video out in which he divulges how he got with the brand: through Neil, true story!

Watched the first few minutes. This looks really good. I had a plastic Beatles guitar which this reminded me of. I always had a fascination for musical instruments since early primary school. I played descant recorder (called something else now) and used to look longingly at clarinets in a music shop window near my grandad's business. My parents couldn't afford to buy one in the hope I would stick at it so clarinet never happened. My dad brought a nice trumpet in a case home from his work one day. I think his mate was trying to sell it but living in a semi-detached house I don't think the noises I was making were acceptable and the trumpet found its way back to its owner. After my love affair with guitar began, around the time I discovered T.Rex and started to enjoy TOTP I was eventually given an electric for Christmas, probably 1972. I think my mum bought it from one of those pop-up Christmas stores that sometimes appeared in empty apartments in Glasgow's west end. I loved it at the time but as I got slightly wiser I soon realised it wasn't even anywhere nearly as good as the Winfield?? Guitars that Woolworths used to sell. Neither me or my parents had any knowledge of the existence or functions of amps back then so it was several weeks before I visited Cuthbertson's with my dad to buy one. It was so rubbish but I loved it. I was so naive and sometimes think I still am in my less cynical moments. This has brought back a lot of memories, thank you.
