Anyone been affected?

Haven't been affected by this personally, unless (perhaps) someone's tried to message or email me from an affected system and wasn't able to. If I was still working it wouldn't have given me much of a headache; I only supported Linux / Unix systems. I never used the Windows laptop I was provided with, I used my own Linux desktop. Some of the company's internal / externally provided services like mail and Teams might have been affected.

Went to Tesco this morning, all the checkouts were working.

No, company I work for somehow is not affected. But like you said, I probably missed quite some messages outside coming in. You don't know what you're missing has never been more relevant.
But I saw the news over here, lots of people stuck on airports, in hospitals as well here. Operations cancelled etc. Had no issues paying for groceries this morning.

I am no doomsday prepper but I do keep a little cash at the house for situations like these.

My ADT alarm is down - a comms failure. I rang them to be told, by recorded message, the whole system is affected.
