Site down later today (BACK UP NOW) / possible new feature (DIDN'T WORK)

I'm hoping to install a feature onto the site that will allow users to save drafts while composing a post. If you're composing a long post, this will guard against your own PC (or phone / tablet) or the site going down and taking your meticulously considered prose with it.

Will try this later today, so I'll take a disk snapshot first. The site will go down at 11:15 this morning for about 25 mins.

OK snapshot done, server back up, I will attempt to install the site mod now. Worst case if it doesn't work and I have to roll back to the snapshot, anything you post on the site after the server came back up will vanish.

Well - it didn't work, but fortunately a pre-install sanity check detected the problem it so I won't need to roll back. As you were!
