I think this is good news, could only be topped by the annoucnement it'll be taken out of returement and actually played. But will always beat being bought by a 'collector' that puts it in a vault and puts it on display at expensive wine tastings.

It's a nice old guitar, probably well past its best in terms of being an instrument. I never rated Rory as a player personally. Or a writer, or a singer. Beats me how he made it out of playing in bars.

Somewhere I have an old Guitar Heroes magazine from the '80s in which he talks about the guitar at length, maybe I'll dig it out and scan it.

I've also remained rather flummoxed at the adoration of Rory. I've got a couple of albums but I just can't see the genius in his stuff. I sorta thought it might be because I don't play but I respect your opinion enough to now realise it's not that
