Producer and musician, dead at 61. A legend? Probably. Check his cv if you don't know who he is.

This man refused to 'take points', aka he refused to take a percentage of the earnings of the record he produced because he did not want to take away from the artist. He always worked for a flat fee, depending on the band and budget he'd set the price. Could have been a millionaire but decided he wanted to be just happy working in music.

PJ Harvey's 'Rid of Me' and Nirvana's 'In Utero' are 2 of my favourite records of the 90's and certainly hear his sonic fingerprints.  61 is stupidly young.
