I've not been advised so I am cutting back on fried, fatty foods and chocolate, pastries etc. Generally trying to be sensible. Very boring!

Saturated fats are probably the worst culprit.

Appointment booked for 16th June.  Longer than I was hoping but at least I have a date now.  Happens to be my son's 22nd Birthday.  He'll be dropping me off and if his mum can't maybe even collecting me the next morning!

Finally had the stenting operation last Thursday afternoon. I was under a mild sedative as when the surgeon started to fiddle with my wrist I found it very sore, so he thought it was better if I couldn't feel it. So even though I was conscious and there was a huge screen to my left I couldn't really tell you what happened.

During the op, he told me he was going to check another artery but decided that one didn't need doing.  The one that did actually had 3 stents, one pretty close to the heart and another 2 further away. The stents themselves look like tiny metal springs. Amazing to think he was able to thread them through the artery in the wrist all the way round to the damaged artery close to the heart.

Because of the blood thinners they put me on back in April, the tiny wound in my wrist took 2 days to stop bleeding. I was out of the hospital on Friday morning though. Taking it easy, just walking for now. Will leave cycling til next week when I'll embark on a slow, short spin.

I've been told to leave mowing the lawn for a while too, as the vibration could dislodge the stents before they've had the chance to fully lodge themselves!

I had a fall on 27th June and dislocated my shoulder. The shock and impact also knocked me out of sinus rhythm and back into the Atrial Fibrillation I had back in 2019. Just awaiting a referall to be ZAPPED back into a normal rhythm.... Shoulder hurts like feck too!!! X-Ray was really sick-making....
