Tragically the magpies will be responsible for a great deal of their demise as they are terrible nest raiders. I've been putting a lot of sunflower hearts, mealworms, seed and peanuts out recently. It's a very rewarding way to spend money and I've seen an increase in robin and dunnock numbers in the garden. But as you say, a lot of crows and magpies too. Very worrying.
