The 1% Club

I honestly got the 1% question well within the time. All 4 'contenders' didn't.

It really is about how your brain works. I am sure that my daily Wordle assisted in this as it was word-play  8).

I took a break of an hour or two after the 3rd attempt as I was struggling to think of a viable solution. Took me about a minute when I came back to it.

Pays dividends to let the subconscious mull it over sometimes.

Get in. 1 minute.

I have a habit in a situation like that of seeing what I can create by putting the yellow letter first. Worked this time!

I was struggling a bit trying to come up with a 3rd attempt, so I left it for a while and went and had something to eat. When I came back, the answer came more easily. So about an hour all told.

General Discussion / Re: What's made your day today?

Spending less than £20 (including postage) on one of these to fettle my printer (Epson XP55):

https://www.octoink.co.uk/products/Compatible-XP2-Printer-Pad-%252b-Reset-Key.html

Fairly easy to do, and I've had a kit from them before to replace the waste ink pads on an Epson XP-760 so I knew they worked.

The alternatives were a new printer (£120), or getting the waste ink pads replaced by Epson. Which at a guess, would cost more than a new printer.

As far as I am aware, there are no inkjet printer manufacturers who warn you that the printer has a waste tank that will fill up and need to be replaced - although, to be fair, that waste ink has to go somewhere!

Meh.
