The Man in the Hat from Magnum has died after a short illness:

Must admit I drifted away from Magnum years ago, but had a very intense relationship with them whilst it lasted - thanks to Mrs S making me take her to see them.

Cycling / Competitive Cycling
June 16, 2023, 09:13:11 PM
I'll talk to myself in here then.

Awful what happened to Gino Mäder yesterday. It's a dangerous sport is Cycling to go off down a ravine and end up under water is just awful. Magnus Sheffield goes the same way and it's concussion and contusions.

There's talk of it being a dangerous descent, but any descent is in the right circumstances.

Moving Pictures / RIP Nichelle Nichols

So that's Lt. Uhura gone :( Still, 89 not a bad innings.

Star Trek will never be the same. Well, it never was after the original version, but that's another discussion.

Food and Drink / W(h)ine

I could well be moaning about it - I do about most things...

I'm currently drinking an Argentine fortified Malbec called Malamado. It's OK, bit spicier than a Port and with a definite hint of Currants. It was on offer at Tesco, I'd buy it again - on offer.

Another big one gone. Have to dig out my copy of Aphrpdite's Child's 666

Although my favourite bit of Vangelis was his appearance on Shooting Stars
