Thinking about our annual jolly to Greece (exact location TBD) and being reminded that virtually all Covid restrictions for entry in both directions have just been dropped - no requirement for proof of vaccinations, nor proof of a negative test, nor proof of recent infection; no more PLFs to complete...

About time!

The National League play-off final is at The London Stadium on Sunday 5th June.  Just saying - I could be in town the night before either way...

A personal footnote here, if I may - my brother, in the Royal Signals at the time, was on leave at home after a few months being stationed in Belize.

On seeing HMS Sheffield being struck, he expected he'd be sent to the Falkland Islands and, sure enough, he soon got the call: he was to fly out to Ascension Island, where he would be transferred by helicopter on to the QE2.

Unbelievable, Jeff - City looked in total control.

Funny old game, Saint.

Fantastic news: Bournemouth's Wales international - and former Halifax Town loanee - David Brooks has been given the all-clear after treatment for cancer. :D

A 500-mile round-trip using 8 trains (if you count the tube) to support my team made more than worthwhile by them winning. 8)

Even though I have an allegiance with Leeds, it's plain to see they have far too many players who are no better than Championship-standard (and the likes of Rodrigo look even worse), so my head says they aren't strong enough to stay up, even if my heart wishes differently.

Right...right...forgive me as for various reasons (none too bad) I have fallen out of the loop about Rush releases.

Hence my question is: what's the cheapest option for buying a physical copy of this fabled what-should-have-been-ESL release?  Because it sounds extraordinary. 🙂

I never got to go into that old den of notoriety, so naturally I would be happy to be granted access to this one. :)

The more the BB elements of the story manifest themselves, the better it gets.

How that interweaves with the other narratives is so well done though - just completely compelling viewing, even while serving as a prequel.

Quote from: Jonners on April 26, 2022, 09:57:00 AMI genuinely think Better Call Saul is better than BB. Even though he is a rogue, you want Saul to succeed, unlike Heisenberg

I have started series 6, but I may have to revisit 5, as I havent got a clue what is going on (or vague recollections at best)

I watched the re-caps up to Season 5 and currently re-watching that from start to finish; it's worth it - just sublime stuff.

Worked through some more of Better Call Saul Season 5.

Just superb.  Everything is tight as a drum.
