There is a solar eclipse happening next Monday (8th April). Will spend the day travelling through Mexico, the US and the Atlantic. It will arrive in Ireland in the evening just as the sun sets (only a partial eclipse by the time it gets here) Western parts of Britain will be able to catch it for a couple of minutes just as the sun sets (providing its not covered by cloud of course)

Does that mean its more than just a dislike but more a warning that site rules are being breached?

I'm a little uncomfortable with someone losing access because someone else doesn't like it.

For example, there are many posts in the Politics threads that I don't like. I'm sure my posts there aren't universally popular either 🙄) I imagine before too long anyone who posts in politics will find themselves suspended.

Likewise if someone mocks Arsenal or France, say, (believe me, it does happen)then I won't particularly like that either. It doesn't mean I want to see my dislike put them on the road to suspension.

March was very poor distance wise. Not even 100kms reached. A combination of poor weather, a trip to Kerry, and a bout of back pain, among other things, meant I only went out for 2 modest Saturday spins during the month. Hoping for a better April

Heard a report earlier stating that when the bridge was built in the 70s  such large and heavy vessels didn't exist. The weight of the carrier meant that even at a low speed the impact would have been massive.

When the bridge is rebuilt it will need to be designed so that the weight bearing supports will be as far away from vessels as possible. Building one strong enough to survive such an impact is not possible or at least prohibitive in cost terms
