The Beatles to release emotional 'final song', Now and Then, next week https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-67207699
Interested in hearing the song. Not buying the new red and blue albums for it though
Nice film on the one show about the making of the song...
Just listened to it.

Decent job of cleaning up and orchestrating it, but - as I expected - it's poor. It had to be, or we'd have heard it years, or decades ago.
Yes just listened.. it's ok ..nothing great.. not offensive

The film was pretty interesting. They did start work on "Now And Then" in 1995, but just didn't have the technology to separate John's voice from the piano on his demo tape so they put it on the back burner.
When I heard the version without the piano (thanks to the advances made during Peter Jackson's
Get Back film which I still haven't seen but may well do as part of our Christmas film list), it was like magic. So clear.
Interesting to hear the finished song and watch the very clever video, but not one I would rush out and buy, or indeed listen to more than I need to. A contender for Christmas number 1 though I should think. Do charts still exist? Is Christmas number 1 still a thing?
The making of the song was actually more interesting than the song itself..
