Couldnt get into it at all, bored me stiff

Just finished Ozark. Wasnt the ending I was expecting or hoping for
.

Spoiler alert...half way through.

Sorry, i thought you would have known that the series does end....... ;)

Mod's note:  I have split out pxr5's post on Everything Everywhere All At Once into its own thread. (I'm assuming pxr5 is okay with that). :)

Yeah no probs from me and thanks for your review. An interesting take, but you know my feelings on this movie.

We finished Shining Girls last night. It was well done and a decent story, until the end. It all seemed rushed and left so many unanswered questions it spoilt the overall enjoyment. Maybe there is another series, but it doesn't feel that way in the manner it concluded. Shame 6.5/10

Rattling through The West Wing. On season 5 now.

The Midwich Cuckoos - A retelling of John Wyndham's classic 1957 novel as a 7 part TV series. I'm 2 episodes in so far and it's pretty good. Some comments have slated it for being 'woke'. I can see why, but it doesn't bother me and it seems to be in keeping with the original story so far. The excellent Keely Hawes stars alongside the scowling Max Beesley. 8/10 so far.

John Wyndham is one of the best Sci Fi writers ever so will give this a go

We finished The Midwich Cuckoos last night. I enjoyed it as a whole, but nothing ground breaking (I much prefer the 60s movie The Village of the Damned).

Movie night. Tonight's offer is this great little movie called Dual. The blurb: "A woman opts for a cloning procedure after she receives a terminal diagnosis but when she recovers her attempts to have her clone decommissioned fail, leading to a court-mandated duel to the death."

The excellent Karen Gillan and Aaron Paul star. It's really quirky with some deadpan, black humour. The acting is almost robotic but it really works and I laughed out loud a lot. It's a bit gory too, but not overly so. A strange tale for sure, but at least it was refreshingly different from the normal Hollywood dross. 8.5/10

The Orville: Season 3 (New Horizons)

Seasons 1 and 2 were Sky exclusives I think, but the new season is on Disney+. Yippee say I.

We just started watching Severance. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11280740/ Brilliant, loving it - this is my sort of show. Really well done too and a great cast. I can't wait to see how it plays out, but it's gripping and I'm savouring each episode.

Documentary on Netflix about the Einsatzgruppe in WWII

Deeply moving, and absolutely holds no punches!

Red Lenses

Netflix - Web Of Make Believe, only watched the first 3 episodes of this docuseries but each story has been interesting (8/10 so far).

Netflix - God's Favourite Idiot, Temples Of Syrinx playing in the first 5 minutes of episode 1 and Tom Sawyer playing in episode 4, only watched 4 episodes so far and some laugh out loud moments (7/10 so far)

Finished Ozark and a decent enough ending of the series (9/10)

Netflix - Interceptor, film getting dreadful reviews but switch the brain off and it is passable (7/10)

Didn't realise that was finished yet! I'll see if I can obtain it, by some method. Loved the first couple of series.
