TOTP: 1992 Christmas Special

Showing on BBC Four in May 2022, bizarrely.

This was during the period when the acts were performing live - at least vocally.

This might explain why Would I Lie To You by Charles & Eddie has stood the test of time far, far better than the likes of The End Of The Road by Boyz II Men. 😏

Thanks for that review. I'm going to try and catch that this week at my local Cineworld.

Yep, Empire's five-star review said pretty much the same as pxr, so this is high on the priority list.

Six episodes into Series 4 of the brilliant Ozark.

I caught this documentary on ITV today: Britain's Strictest Headmistress. https://www.itv.com/hub/britains-strictest-headmistress/10a2923 What an eye opener. Why the government doesn't use this as a template for all schools is beyond me. It's all so obvious when you see schools run like this and the children truly thrive; and in one of the poorest boroughs in London. Remarkable.

Ricky Gervais - Super Nature (Netflix).

The usual baiting schtick.

Best enjoyed realising he's a professional comedian giving an often provocative performance of stand-up comedy that is constructed of jokes.

But it seems half of those on Tw@tter are determined not to get that. ::)

Ricky Gervais - Super Nature. Very good - belly laughs and one accidental fart  ;D

Finished Series 4 of Ozark last night. Blimey, this is good TV - I can't wait for the next one.

Half way through Series 3 of the French sci-fi show Missions. A totally different feel to this series, but still pretty good. I can't say much about it without spoiling it but if you've seen the first 2, it's worth carrying on.

Not got round to watching it yet. Probably next on my list.

Finished it last night after 2 sittings. It's confusing and I think that may be the end of it all too. But well done though, just I have no idea what really happened lol.

Hunted - the current season. It never ceases to amaze me how dumb people can be. Either that or they haven't seen previous seasons and the mistakes people make.

The biggest one being using any of your family, friends or contacts along the way.

Love Death Robots..Episode called Jibaro, one of the most amazing visual things I have seen, stunning on an Oled tv.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore - Some quite harsh reviews, but I really enjoyed it (my wife thought it was a drag). I read that Johnny Depp did one scene before being sacked and because of the contract earned the full $16m.
Mads Mikkelsen as the replacement does Ok in my opinion but lacks the gravitas that Depp would have brought. A decent story and some great action scenes; most of the actors are just going through the motions for their pay cheques though. 7.5/10

I saw the trailer for this and I'm looking forward to it (the animation looks amazing) and the whole series 3. I can't find the series in UHD though, but at least it's available in 1080p HDR. Also it's pure animation, no motion capture at all - incredible.

I was discussing this show to my son and it turns out the company he works for was involved in the animation. They do media for games and movie/tv trailers etc.

This is the future for animation.
