This is the official text of the finding:

It's actually about internal governance of their social media presence. There was only one breach of the code (Pfizer was found not to have breached the code on five separate counts, I wonder if someone at the Telegraph got a bit confused). And there's no reference in the document to "unlicenced medicines".
That's not the case in question, this is:

https://www.pmcpa.org.uk/media/cwvkqvyz/3741-case-report-28-march-2024.pdf

The panel ruled breaches of five clauses including Clause 3.1 "Promoting an unlicensed medicine"

Pfizer were found to have "brought discredit upon and reduced confidence in the pharmaceutical industry"

Regardless, China will end up making all the stuff that involves this.....and then we'll buy it  :)

Very confused. Scandalous. I'm expecting Pfizer to litigate, they have the funds.....and considerable experience of litigation  ;D

Other Music / Re: Bought any Vinyl Recently?

I bought two new LPs from HMV that landed this weekend.

John Mellencamp - Strictly A One-Eyed Jack
Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden.

Both are good pressings but I'm particularly impressed with Spirit Of Eden. This record is full of near silent passages and I had little hope that it would work on LP but it's wonderful! On the Parlophone label on heavy vinyl, they've done a sterling job with this. The lack of surface noise is mindblowing. It comes with a DVD Audio disc of the album too and was a very reasonable £21.99.
The Mellencamp LP was discounted from £29.99 to £17.99 so great value too

First of two 'Vinyl Nights' this week. We were treated to a '70s classic rock filler between two slices of hair metal.

Exreme - Pornograffitti
Deep Purple - Burn
Mr Big - Lean Into It

Cycling / Re: Cycling 2024

Nice, gentle ride on the mtbs today. From the campsite just outside Bakewell, we headed to Moneyash but turned off to pass through Sheldon. From Sheldon to Taddington where we stopped for refreshments at The Queens Arms. Lovely little pub. After a bite to eat washed down with a pint of 'Just Nipping Out' by Little Brewing Co. and a pint of Camden Pale, we took the long descent to Miller's Dale. We wheeled the bikes up the steep path to join The Monsal Trail. Lovely stretch southwards towards Bakewell as it's a gentle downhill in that direction, taking extra care through the gloom of the tunnels. We exited the trail at Great Longstone. Through the village to The Packhorse at Little Longstone. Cracking little pub, flagstone floors and two open fires on the go. Thornbridge Astryd followed by AM PM from the same. Lovely Venison burger served with some of the best chips we've ever had with a meal out.To get us back to the site, we doubled-back through Gt. Longstone to Ashford in the Water to return by 6:00pm.
First ride for a long time and probably not much more than 15 miles. No off-road, still too much water around to risk it. Both caught the sun on our faces and feel like we've exerted ourselves enough to sleep soundly tonight.

Last night I listened to Talk Talk's 'The Spirit of Eden'. For some reason I became interested in the lyrics and using Google I landed on genius.com.
This is a good site that not only provides lyrics to tracks but also provides info on the track itself including subject, inspiration, influenes etc. The site also allows for comments.
Whilst listening to the track 'I Believe In You', I dived into a bit of an interesting rabbit hole. The track is about heroin addiction, more specifically the addiction that Mark Hollis's older brother, Ed, found himself consumed by in the '80s. A link on the genius site leads to a bio of Ed who was a mover and shaker in the music industry in the late '70s early '80s. Although not a musician, he started out as manager of Eddie & The Hot Rods. Probably true to say, without Ed there would be no Talk Talk. I found his tragic story somewhat fascinating and, of course, Mark's demise was similarly tragic.

General Discussion / Re: Holidays 2024
March 28, 2024, 12:02:52 AM
A fortnight ago we had a week in Hinterglemm in the Austrian Alps. First snowboard trip for four years. Lovely hotel, absolutely delightful food. Snow not all that but a fantastic holiday nevertheless.
No plans for summer yet. I may save my leave as I'm retiring at the end of August so I could go a week or two earlier if I don't use it.
We've already had a couple of weekends away in the motorhome. We are off to Bakewell tomorrow for the Easter weekend. Cycling and beer on the agenda.

From September onwards, everyday will be a holiday!
