Wel that's a first for me: all the right letters but only 1 in the right spot. Made it easy to follow up though  ;D

Quote from: Slim on May 04, 2024, 10:54:39 PMI ordered a Mica Paris CD as an upgrade to the vinyl copy I've had since 1990. Amazon sent me Beethoven's Concerto no. 5, performed by the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

On the plus side, when I initiated the return process to get a refund, they said I could keep it.

See? Should've stuck to vinyl after all.

Mine's on orange vinyl. Which grand tour is that?
Great show that by the way.

My guess is Pogi trained to be the best over 3 weeks, in doing so losing some of his immediate response quality. Day for day maybe 1 person can be better, but he will not be beaten overall. The ease he came from nearly last n the peloton to pass by and ride to the 2nd place, impressive.

Well done Narvaez indeed.
Disappointed in Arensman.

It's been a metal drive over the past days. I am sort of hooked on a trio of recent metal releases: Dvne, High on Fire and Inter Arma. Now playing the latest Darkthrone, more metal. Must be the weather.

Ah! The scaffolding is gone! Took them nearly a month but they say "the leakage should be gone".
I am NOT hoping for rain, yet I am ;)  ::)

Warm, some sun but also showers expected. As if we hadn't had enough rain already..

Yes, so on with the bag search, and I found one (I am very picky), but it's only sold in the USA. Ughh. My wife (who by now was sick of hearing me talk about a bag - normal housholds have reversed discussions I am told) uttered: "just buy the damn thing".
So I did, but before I did I had a clear moment and Googled "discount code Kodiak leather". Found 3 of them, 30 & 20% did not work, but the 15% did! So, had a 15% discount the bag I wanted.

All of this is a pre cursor to another rant how sh!t UPS is in delivering I am sure, but I am savouring this moment.

It was actually yesterday, I'd ordered a new bag. A essenger leather one, and a nice on at that. The stitching on the lining for the old one has come loose so I kept on going in there trying to find stuff that felt as it it disappeared, most annoying. I use it everyday, carrying around my laptop, food, etc, so I really need one.
Went online, found a great shop over here, it looked superb and ordered one I liked.
Had to give them a nudge yesterday to update me on shipping. While the site said they had 2 in stock, it turns out they had none, and their supplier only had a returned on that had the stitching come loose.
Admittedly, they said they'd pay me back (not received yet) but the tone used was just so, I don't know, as if they really had zero interest in dealing with customers. And I am Dutch, we have the worst customer service in the world, rude and all, but this was just stupid.

Quote from: captainkurtz on May 01, 2024, 11:35:06 AMThere's just as many arseholes riding bikes as there is driving cars - but cyclists just seem that much more sanctimonious.  Prick.
As a cyclist, I know for a fact that there are more arseholes driving cars. When I'm a driver I know for a fact that there are more arseholes driving cars. Horse riders tend to be arseholes too.

Of course cyclists are sanctimonious, we're better for the environment :) Drivists have much more of a tendency to be Psycopathic.

Last time I scraped one off my bumper he didn't have much to say. Shame really, seemed like a nice chap, just got in the way.

That's how us drivers roll you know.
