I'm not familiar with Prog magazine myself, a UK publication apparently - but this is its 139th edition, and it's out on Friday.

In the same vein as Classic Rock magazine. They usually serve up the same interviews, photos and in the studio reports. A very subjective 'which is the best album' type of thing and the other half is semi famous people and nobodies applauding the artist on duty.

Seen one, seen 'em all.

Admittedly, hard to resist when seen in the shop. That is, until you see the price over here. I could buy a nice new novel for that amount. No joke.

Not too bad value when you subscribe, but every issue now is devoted to some 40th or 50th album anniversary. Even worse when it's a Heavy Metal album in a Prog magazine, but then Prog should change its name to Mainly Metal...

I've bought the odd copy over the years if the cover appeals. I will be getting this one.
