Population 3 is very Rush, the bass sounds like Presto bass.

The office is very sparsely populated today so I've been granted permission to assume DJ duties - my reputation precedes me. ::)

So I'm playing it safe with lots of 70s disco stuff.

So I'm playing it safe with lots of 70s disco stuff.

And this afternoon I've moved us inevitably in the 80s, but with a twist: on You Tube I found an advert-free, 80s megamix sort of reimagined with a relentless Deep House groove - talk about the best of both worlds!

Top DJ, me - the two significantly younger colleagues of mine that haven't finished early for the weekend are loving it, I'm sure.

Actually the track I get the Presto bass vibes from is the last track, Love in the past tense.

Now listening to new Mars Volta

Since playing PT's new album a couple of times I don't really feel the need for repeat listens. Weird as I love PT/SW stuff normally.

Anyway I'm still plundering the back catalogue of the excellent The Tangent with:

A Place in the Queue
"Oh, for the wings of any bird other than a Battery hen."

Thenop

Blue Öyster Cult - Tyranny and Mutation

Frost* - Day and Age     vinyl
The Tangent - Auto Reconnaissance     vinyl
Big Big Train - English Electric Part 1
