Ooh - will check that out soon.

First partial listen - WOW!!! :o

I stopped halfway track 1 which sounds like a cross between Marilyn Manson and Eddie Cochran. I will skip this one.

Osiris - Osiris   early 80s Bahraini prog. Sounds a bit like Camel, which is nice
Dream Theater - Falling Into Infinity
"Oh, for the wings of any bird other than a Battery hen."

Whitespade, album by Midnight (the band) in honour of Motorhead. They did an Overtribute sounds like, an entire album of original material that sounds like Motorhead heyday material. Fantastic.

Muse: Will Of The People

In general, after 3 listens on an Echo Dot (so not the greatest of fidelity) during more painting sessions, I'm with Matt on this.

The opening salvo of Will Of The People followed by Compliance is quite a bold introduction, and later on, Verona followed by Euphoria is another quite sublime pairing (Verona is an early favourite).

I need to have a proper listen on headphones at some point as I think this will bring out some serious awesomeness but so far, I am very pleased. Thanks again Muse.

I love how all the tracks are short, all told, but pack so much in.

There's the (usual) mash-up of the bombasticness of Queen, the analogue 80s synths (but this time seemingly brazenly referencing Stranger Things), the continuing obsession with Rachmaninov, the downtuned riffs which seem to get a semitone heavier with every passing album...

It's theatrical, it's audacious and it's brilliant.

Ghosts in particular is raw, candid and heartbreaking.

Compliance is pure, brilliant Muse.

I could go on but...what a band.  Steven Wilson must have wet dreams about possessing the creativity and talent of Matt Bellamy.
