Love that Hatfield record, especially Underdub. And completely agree about British Steel, it always seemed deliberately dumbed-down to me. Cartoon metal. I stopped buying their albums after that, although I've bought a couple of the later ones since.

Mumps is my favourite on The Rotters' Club. I totally agree with your summing up of British Steel. I did persevere with Priest after British Steel. I got Point of Entry (not good), Screaming for Vengeance (good), Defenders of the Faith (OK), Turbo (not good). Nothing since though.

Same for me and yet I love stupid METAL, Manowar anyone?

I do regret not going to see Priest on the British Steel tour though as it was shot at Sheffield City Hall and some of my mates made it onto the video.

And Iron Maiden opened up for them! I was at the previous night, at Manchester. Didn't know there was a video of that tour.

Much like two years earlier for the AFTK tour, I spent a miserable cold night at a railway station waiting for the first train. Only one night this time, though.
