Ry Cooder - Chavez Ravine. Recently acquired this on vinyl and it is every bit the experience I wanted it to be. Fascinating story surrounding this long lost LA neighbourhood that had to gove way for a football stadium. Ugh. Lovely photobook in the middle of the LP as well. Highly recommended listen, latin infused but, like with all things Cooder, it is quality.
Even though a tragic story, he means to tell a 'could have been' tale on how the life was in Chavez Ravine.
