Mystery - The World is a Game   3rd play of this great album from Canadian band Mystery and it certainly has some Rush vibes going on. The lead singer sounds a lot like Geddy too - which is nice. They are quite new to me, so lot's more to explore.
Ross Jennings - A Shadow of My Future Self   vinyl
Saga - Generation 13
"Oh, for the wings of any bird other than a Battery hen."

King's X - Live Minneapolis 1998

The Picnic Wasp

Ian Dury - The Very Best Of

Used to listen to Billericay Dickie with an old flame called Janet. Always good for a laugh.

The Picnic Wasp

Rush - Signals

For an album where the guitar is so held back, it has sublime solos, and most especially The Weapon.

I needed some sort of post-cycling relaxation:

Lunatic Soul - Through Shaded Woods
Telepath - Mental Mutations

Eloy - Dawn
Mystery - One Among the Living
Mystery - Lies and Butterflies
Mystery - The World is a Game
Squid - O Monolith  Squid's new album and it's a challenging listen. I've played it 3 times now and it's crazy, chaotic and so beautiful in parts. In the main I do like it and it's a serious progression from their first album - Bright Green Field. But there are a couple of low points for me, but maybe repeated listens will bring those forward too. Whatever though it's great to see experimental music like this still being made by young bands. I just need to get the vinyl now.
The Pale Fountains - ... From Across The Kitchen Table  Vinyl. This is a stupidly good album from these scouse popsters from 1985. They only made 2 albums: this and 1984's Pacific Street (both I had on cassette) and remains some of my favourite music from the 80s. And newly re-released on vinyl this year.
"Oh, for the wings of any bird other than a Battery hen."
