Another beautiful day in Ayr so did the reverse circuit from yesterday with a few little changes.... Up thru Belleisle and Rozelle Parks out to the cycle path which pretty much follows the main A77 out to the small village of Minishant which is where I found a nice connecting road up to the single path track taking me up to the Carrick Hills..  back down to join the Route 7 cycle path and into Burns Land and back out to the seafront and Pier then home

Was hoping for more but turned in 21 miles....

Out on my route today  and started wondering what others' experiences were.. so for the most part i,m on designated cycle paths/routes so you encounter folks out for walks with dogs with kids etc etc..so folk coming towards can for the most part see you coming so tend to get out the way.. it's the folks that can't see you coming that pose the problem... so being the nice person I am will ring my bell many times in some instances to alert them. Some will get out the way others will stare at you like the devil incarnate.. what's ur fucking problem????.. others can't control their fucking dogs and look at you like you're in the wrong..others seem to completely over react like what the hell you doing on a bike on this path...

Anyone else with similar experiences?

Love the fact that the Fish has now entered the world where suddenly your wallet gets a hammering:

Sunglasses: Just make sure they are properly UV, they fit, and are shatter proof, as sooner or later they will fall off. And a clear pair for when its dark or not sunny/rainy

Lights: UV ones for me, but I rarely ride at night now, roads too bad round here

Shorts: Dont go cheap, the padding is everything. And ideally bib shorts (straps over the shoulders)

Decent Helmet: Dont go cheap, could save your life

One of the best purchases I ever made, other than good tyres, was a gas pump rather than a hand pump

Always had some bits n pieces but getting some proper stuff now...
Getting more into it now that I've stopped Squash due to persistant muscle tears etc etc...
