Just restrung my SG today. It's the only Gibson I own at the moment.

On a whim (and a very good price) I bought a Les Paul Less Plus. It's the slimmed down special edition celebrating what would have been Les Paul's 100th birthday. It's a lovely guitar but rarely out of its case. I do enjoy that Gibson lacquer smell that hits you as soon as you lift the lid though. It's probably the only Gibson I'll ever own and strangely, although Gibson generally look and feel better made guitars than Fenders, I think I prefer playing the latter. I'm not sure why but they seem to fit better with me. Especially my Fender Jazz bass. Such a great playing experience.

Gibson make more sophisticated guitars than Fender for sure, but often they don't make them very well. Poor quality control. Shoddy manufacturing, sometimes.
