We don't get squirrels in our garden but if we did, I'd shoot them with an air rifle. As long as it's quick and the pellet doesn't leave your property, it's legal (assuming you only retire the invasive grey ones).

Unfortunately no air rifle... we usually see a couple of them but they obviously told their pals there's free nosh @ 37.. so we had four of the little fuckers.. if they were red squirrels I might not mind so much.  They just look cuter. Am I being squirrelist...?... anyway food is back in garage so no sight of them now

Our leakage is back. Making a triumphant return after the gutter has been replaced in full. Luckily I am renting so it doesn't cost me, unfortunately that also means I am at the back of the line.

The roads in our village are being resurfaced this week.

I came home from work today to find that the dropped kerb in front of my drive has been replaced by a raised one! 

As I understand it, this renders accessing my drive illegal as technically I have to drive on a pavement to do so.

Also, now I don't have a dropped kerb that renders it illegal for any inconsiderate twat to block my drive.

Will be contacting Calderfail (sic) council tomorrow...

UPDATE!!

I've just been told that it's most likely the case that they haven't actually finished the area immediately around where I live yet and a dropped kerb should be present and correct tomorrow.

They're here until the end of the month, so we'll see.

In fairness, looking again there does appear to be a line drawn on the front of the kerb which - I hope - indicates where the top layer of the road will reach and does suggest more work will be done.

I noticed some other examples on the dog walk tonight, so if they're not also done, we'll march on the town hall mob-handed.

I'm having a new bathroom fitted, and the old one has been torn out today. We are fortunate in having two other bathrooms, but neither of them actually has a bath. So no baths for me for at least a week.

Can't remember the last time I had a bath!
