Yes, I hate that kind of badly researched inaccuracy from those actually paid to get it right. I've never really minded being told if I get something wrong. One instance which comes to mind is quite embarrassing though. I've never been much of a coffee aficionado so when a very young colleague pointed out to me that it was espresso, and not expresso, I felt a bit uncomfortable. But as NP once said, I'd rather have the knowledge.

Warner Brothers have pulled the plug on GCN+ (Global Cycling Network+) which is where I waste most of my time watching cycling races and cycling related documentaries. I'm gutted.

Fortunately - I use that term loosely - I'm with BT broadband which gives me access to Discovery+ which shows all the same racing, but none of the documentaries. A Win/Lose situation. Just more hassle to get to the cycling coverage.

Slim

Woke up feeling sick at about 0530 this morning, 20 minutes later I was throwing up into a toilet. Back to bed, an hour later - same thing, retching surprisingly copius quantities of watery bile. Back to bed again, got up for a bit at about 12 to report in sick, an hour or so later I went back to bed.

Got up again about an hour ago. I feel rough, but I think the vomiting episodes are over now. All I've had today are a glass of water and a coffee but I think that'll do. Was going to take tomorrow PM off to do a 100km bike ride but I doubt I'll have the energy.

Either something I ate, or a stomach virus.

On the plus side, I listened to another 90 minutes of My Effin' Life on the bedside Dot while lying in bed, and that was very nice.

Wondering if it's Norovirus? Tesco have withdrawn the sanitiser spray that they used to have available to clean off the handles of trolleys at what seems to me to be the worst time, just at the point in the year when flu, COVID and other dodgy viruses are going around.

Hope you're back to normal soon, Slim

Yes, get well soon. Sounds like Norovirus. Had it a while back and I got it fixed on my mind that Tesco trolley handles or baskets were the likely source. Mums with kids on the school run picking up dinner. Thinking about it, it must have been more than a while back now. Before the pandemic and sanitizers.

Get well soon Slim. It's horrible being sick, I feel for you mate.

Get well soon James, but just reading about being sick makes me want to blow chunks...

Wish you a speedy recovery James.

"Hello, welcome to BBC's Children In Need - my name is Kate Middleton and I married into obscene wealth and privilege; I'm here to tell you plebs with your sky-rocketing costs of living and children who aren't Princes or Princesses to send as much money as you can to, erm, help children less fortunate than your own. {affects faux-pleading face} Thank you"  ::)

And give money to such worthwhile causes as teaching kids to ride motorbikes so they're well ready to terrorise their sink estates once they're teenagers because it's oh so good for their mental health.

Look parents if your child is stuck in its bedroom get 'em out and take 'em for a walk or summat, buy a bicycle for them. Maybe make some time for them instead of posting on social media, getting a tattoo or online gambling  >:(

Mind, all this shite was worth it yesterday when Amy Garcia started swearing when she got crabs :)

Not wanting to venture into political content, but just saying I am really tired of politicians at the moment, more so than usual. There are general elections over here coming Wednesday, so that's why.
