Life must be tough for her.. jaysus..
She should have received nothing since being dismissed for bringing her employer into disrepute.

Leaving Tesco tonight a car about 20 spaces down from us set off at the same time as we did and it was blaring out the most awful (c)Rap "music", of what subgenre I cannot say. It was just so fucking awful though, I could feel my MENSA level IQ dropping rapidly. What possesses people to listen to this shite, especially when driving?

I was in tears earlier today listening to Close to the Edge because it's so beautiful, but these brain dead farts in their souped up Corsas listen to bilge. I despair.

I think about this quite often. What are they going to be listening to in forty years? Surely there is no legacy to this. Had to admire Ashley Jensen's professionalism on Graham Norton last night when Sean Love Combs said, "call me Diddy". He wouldn't have to make that request in many parts of Scotland. I don't think the word has travelled to other parts of the UK yet. Might be wrong though.

Just want to put a good word in for hip-hop here? It's not all bad. Maybe we should have a thread, I can't be the only person who likes it.

I like a couple of things, like 50 Cent - The Game, which flows really well and is extremely well put together and produced. I was also stunned when I enjoyed Jay-Z at Glastonbury, but you're talking about a very thin layer of cream on top of very, very skimmed sour milk.

It's all shite  ;D

Apart from Hey-Ya by Outkast - hey they have a Xavier Russell approve "K" in their name.

The OutKast record form whence that song came is utterly brilliant, by the way...

We do need a hiphop thread then it seems. I am not the biggest fan but there is a lot to be liked in the early years when the form came out of the funk. Gil Scott Heron was a visionary, and I do appreciate Public Enemy's call to the masses inciting a movement that is huge. It's more the LA strain and gangsta rap I am not that much of a fan of.

We had a new bathroom fitted in October 2020 by a relatively high end bathroom company which had newly opened.  I could have organised the work myself but it would have taken a couple of months and they said it would be complete in 2 weeks.

A year later it was signed off...all of the brassware (get me) ended up being free as did the shower cubicle, because we had such an issue with the plating.

They ended up using a pair of contractors to do all of the plumbing and the tiling.  The latter of which was sub par as far as I'm concerned.  There has been intermittent leaks into the ground floor hallway and I've had to get my usual tiler to regrout the shower floor.  It's started leaking again. Going to have to just remove everything, pull all the tiles up and start again.

The bathroom company is now closed, I've noticed.

In the middle of storm Debi at the moment. Makes me glad I'm not working anymore and out in it.

Lunatics with fireworks after 11.00pm last night. When you buy fireworks you should have to do so using your national insurance number, which should then automatically disqualify you and members of your immediate family from owning pets.

Edit: There was a typo in my first attempt which read lunatits. I should have left it alone.

While working an on national ban for consumers several municipalities (including mine) have banned the stuff. However, if there is any form of enforcing this ban, it is only in the last days of the year. Which means it's being set off nerly every evening already. My dogs are sort of OK with it, fomr a distance, When it comes to close they scare, of course.
I don't know what it is, the stuff they use nowadays would get yourself arrested for being a terrorist, but around the end of the year people just go nuts.

Twice yesterday I heard it said by radio presenters that Bobby Charlton only picked up two yellow cards in his career.

In fact the card system was introduced to the English league in 1976, and international football in the 1970 World Cup. Sir Bobby was not booked during the 1970 World Cup so he wasn't actually ever carded at all.
