Looked out at lunchtime to see that part of the driveway fence had blown over and was resting on my car. No damage to the car fortunately, but spent two hours hammering in a new post and screwing the section back together. All in a freezing cold, howling gale and driving rain. Had to get it done before the neighbours got back from holiday and enjoyed my misfortune. Gits. Wish they'd move.

The folder that I keep all my gig tickets in has just disappeared.  I can still search and find the emails, so I've made a new folder, but still, where's the original folder gone?

Going to Lisbon with family until Wednesday.  Connecting flight in Amsterdam.  As soon as I got off the shuttle bus in schipol, I realised I'd left my wallet on the plane.  Tight 50 minute connecting flight, which we missed whilst I waited for my wallet.  £200 for a later flight to Lisbon which leaves 8 hours later.  And it's a 3 hour flight.  Family being good about it but I feel wretched and guilty..

Hope your trip was most enjoyable all that notwithstanding! :)

Was a brilliant trip.  Beautiful city.  Also, the had the best steak I've ever eaten - Sala De Corte, if anyone's in Lisbon at any point..

DPD delivered a package for me to some random house somewhere else in the neighbourhood. They sent me a pic of it propped up against the wall. I worked out where it was eventually, walked round and the package wasn't there. They weren't in.

But the tracking information is weirdly contradictory. Earlier it said the package had been delivered, now it says it's gone back to the depot.

The driver will have realised his mistake and doubled back to pick it up again. I caught that happening on my doorbell camera not so long ago. Unless of course the occupants took the parcel in before they left.

Where your deliveries get left could be a thread on its own.

Once, the Taking-The-Piss Artists Formerly Known As Hermes placed a package of mine in our slug-infested food recycling bin.  WTAF?!

Oh, for my grumpy post for today:

Tourists.

Especially for having the temerity to inadvertently and obliviously spoil my exquisitely composed iPhone SE phone camera photos at iconic London landmarks.  ::)
