If only the banks would pass on the interest rate rises to savers I'd be a few hundred better off :)

why are you watching morning TV? Do you not have a life/record collection?

Mainly due to dog sitting duties. They're too big to walk two at once, and don't like being separated in any case. And yes, I think my record collection is pretty shameful for a man of my age. I should have Spotify playing in the background rather than the TV. It's only the free version however so the ads are a bit annoying.

Is it safe to turn the telly on again..?

The wife wanted to listen to Woman's Hour in the car on the way back from Norfolk this morning. Lovely! I thought. Perhaps they'll discuss a new knitting pattern, or perhaps a nice cake recipe. More topically, maybe some advice for young housewives on preparing nutritious meals for their husbands and children on a budget in these straitened times. Or if we were very lucky, a piece on keeping ironing board covers in good condition, because I confess that my own other half does struggle with that.

Nope - it was non-stop feminazi man-hating gender politics.

Based on your expectation that was probably necessary! What was she hoping to hear?

Something happens to me most evenings around 7pm and I get very grumpy and very arsey.  I'm very conscious about it.

Parking ticket, but I have a Ringo receipt, so not guilty but now have to go thru email ping pong with Mid Devon District council to prove my innocence.

I nearly always fall asleep at the table after my evening meal - for around 10-15 minutes.  My ability to stay awake after 10pmish is pretty depressing as well.  I hit 50 and just feel tired alot of the time.

Dinner at a table! How disciplined. I'll sometimes use the beanbag lap tray for special occasions like a Chinese takeaway.

Water leaking through the lounge ceiling. A real twat to locate, so had to rip out some fitted cupboards in our main bedroom and take some of the wall down. Also needed to remove some of the lounge ceiling. Eventually me and the plumber found a small leak from the bottom of the cylinder (hopefully as it's hard to really access). Lots to do to make it right: New boiler. new fitted cupboards, new carpet, replastering the lounge ceiling and bedroom wall. At the moment a bucket sits right in the middle of our lounge; fingers crossed we can get the tank out before it gets worse and causes more damage.

Man, what a shame. Not much comfort I know, but at least it's not Winter.
