Cardiacs - Sing to God
Nektar - A Tab in the Ocean
Nektar - Remember the Future
T2 - It'll all Work Out in Boomland  what a great find this was - from 1970 and just brilliant
Steven Wilson - 4.5
Jakszyk, Fripp and Collins - A Scarcity Of Miracles    vinyl

What do you think of the cardiacs. which is your favourite cd 1 or 2? And what is King crimson project like, it has mixed reviews.

Cardiacs are brilliantly bonkers - I love them, like a punk/prog cross (Pronk?). CD1 is more frantic with lots of energy; CD2 is more accessible and a mite calmer. My favourite track is on CD2 - 'Nurses Whispering Verses'. All their studio albums are great though.

The KC Project album is like a soft jazzy album. You can hear the KC sounds but it's a different beast than say Red. An easy album to listen to, it's very accessible but with enough going on to make it interesting too.

Anthony Phillips - The Geese and the Ghost

What is the Antony Philips like?

Hmm, like a watered down, mellower version of Genesis. It's OK, but drags on a bit - it's mainly guitars too and starts to get dull.

yeah I'm coming to the end of season 3.

We finished it last night. The weakest of the 3 seasons so far. Sean Bean is starting to annoy too.

^ The Hill is a brilliant film - well the first half is. So too is Ice Cold in Alex - I've always loved this snap:

Quote from: Slim on April 05, 2022, 08:33:17 PMThe Guns of Navarone is a great film I must admit but I won't watch it again. I hate that scene where the woman gets shot in cold blood.

You could always watch the appalling sequel instead.  :-\

A Bridge too far was a good movie too - though it had its difficult scenes as well.

This thread reminds me that my old man had a Geoff Love album playing war movie themes. I used to play it a lot as a kid.

Finished Peaky Blinders last night. It did improve a bit in the last 2 episodes, but overall a disappointing series. I'm glad it's all over tbh.

Now watching season 3 of Snowpiercer, still as daft as ever but a guilty pleasure.

Quote from: Rufus_the_dawg on April 02, 2022, 04:34:27 PMHave you thought about rejoining a squash club?

There are no courts near me and I doubt my knees would cope with competitive games. I have thought about it though; maybe one day.

I used to play a lot when I was younger and got to RAF station level. It dropped off when I got married, but I still play now and again. I love watching too and it should so be in the Olympics.
