I attempted to put a contact lens in at lunchtime on Sunday, but my eyelid ate it. It spat it back out again this morning, rolled up like a little tube.

I'd started to believe it wasn't actually in there. No discomfort at all.

I love NAMM. I wish it wasn't just trade only. I'd love to go.

The new Eversolo streamer arrived at the beginning of the week. Day off today so planned to get it fired up. Rather than just remove the now superfluous gear, I decided to have everything out, including the rack, and give the area a really good clean.
Started at around 10:00am and I've just finished - knackered. Doesn't sound like the sort of job to tire one out but when you've got enough kit to open an audio shop, it's not a breeze (granite turntables and power amps are heavy!
Anyways, everything back bar for the DAC, Arcam DrDock and digital tuner (to be sold later....hopefully) which have been replaced by an Eversolo DPM A6 Master Edition. Very easy set-up(even my 'new'internet connection via Powerline sockets and 5-port switch worked without issue). I can now lie on the sofa and play virtually anything I want using the app. And it sounds very good.
A good day's work!

Tragically the magpies will be responsible for a great deal of their demise as they are terrible nest raiders. I've been putting a lot of sunflower hearts, mealworms, seed and peanuts out recently. It's a very rewarding way to spend money and I've seen an increase in robin and dunnock numbers in the garden. But as you say, a lot of crows and magpies too. Very worrying.

We usually see quite a lot of the smaller birds.. just this morning they seemed to have disappeared for some reason

Plenty in our garden :)

Blue Tits, Great Tits, Long Tailed Tits and Coal Tits, also Pheasants and plenty of senseless Wood Pigeons. We also get Magpies, Jays in the Autumn. More often than not there's Buzzards in the field behind us, along with Herons and Kestrels perch up in our Oak tree.

Seem to have similar to Mr Slikk apart from the Kestral

Shame I can't celebrate to the fullest as many of my favourite brands are still missing in Tesco.

Perhaps a good thing that more 'local' producers are getting your support

I'd like to think that's the case and I will be more observant when shopping. So starting with breakfast today, one item from Manchester, one from Peru and the other from South Africa. My dogs can't type so on their behalf, where have all their favourite treats gone? I don't really think I'm from anything less than a completely spoilt generation but it's still a pain.
