As a Brucey Bonus I used accumulated credits in my LNER account to get the outbound train journey in first class for £23.00 :)

Congrats, Barnet just missed out on penalties after going 3 0 down in the first half of their semi away to Gateshead. The equaliser came in the 12th minute of the 12 that were added, but the Bees couldn't make the momentum count. Pity! The Bees have not been to Wembley since 1973, 4 years before I started supporting them.

Doing the recycling quite early this morning and the sun was noticeably warm on my back.

A tweet from Calderdale Council that begins:

"Anyone between the ages of 25 and 64 that has a cervix has a right to free cervical cancer screening..."

getting utterly annihilated in the responses.  I'm ashamed of our council for that deranged and crass choice of words, but happy to see it "ratioed" accordingly.

I found a 109G log file on one of our customers' Linux servers.

I worked out that, printed onto A4, it would form a stack of paper 1.4 miles high.

Then I deleted it.

Just as well you didn't hit "print"!

Record store day early risers are nice people. Quiet drive to the shop, a good 45 mins before opening standing in line, meeting like minded people that were actually nice company.
Really giving others some room to look for what they want in the bin, not grabbing it out of your hand. Queing for the register organized and all around well behaved. Happy faces all around.

My faith in humanity has not been restored but perhaps the loathing has been out aside for one day.
That's a win.

Each to their own, but I cannot understand why, in 2023, just to obtain music, you'd want to drive somewhere, compete with others for objects in a physical container, stand in a queue, then drive home again.

I like driving.... No really it's maybe the anticipation, the not knowing whether you can get what you want.
I have digital as well of course. Big Bandcamp user.

Yes, I've used that for quite a while.  From the lofty position of our village, we can see planes on their final approach to LBA and (usually much closer) their early ascent out of it - because of the app it's got to the point where you can make a very good guess where the outbounds are going without looking.  And that even extends to those passing 35,000 ft above - those a bit to the left tend to be domestic flights from London airports to Edinburgh or Glasgow, those a bit to the right to Newcastle, Aberdeen or Inverness, and those in the middle tend to be transatlantic ex London or CDG etc etc.

Me and the wife went to grasstrack racing today. Probably not been to a grasstrack meeting for about 30 years. It was great fun and the best race of the day was the 500cc solo final, just as it should be  ;)
