Title: Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)
Post by: Matt2112 on February 27, 2023, 04:54:54 PM
Apparently due to a particular burst of solar activity the northern lights have been seen as far south as Norfolk.

The display is set to continue the next few nights so hopefully it's visible from my patch in Yorkshire; it will be a first for me.

As far south as Cornwall, according to some reports. I've never seen them either. Not likely to this evening, rather cloudy here.

Yes, here too unfortunately.

Just seen that a local resident has posted some pretty impressive pictures on FB from the wee hours of last night.

We were walking home last night and saw a magnificent sunset behind Arran.. lovely red sky with Venus and Jupiter in attendance as well.. wish we'd kept going down to the beach just in case we saw some northern lights... what time did they start...?. Too cloudy for anything tonight at the moment...
