Title: Steve Wright Has Died

Really sad news. I was never a huge fan but I did listen often in the '80s and noughties, and occasionally since. Just a part of the fabric of our national life.

My sister just 'phoned to tell me this. Very sad to hear of his passing. RIP Steve.

I liked him and his radio shows.  Sorry to read this.

Really sad and surprising news. His drivetime show was brilliant. RIP.

Liked him in the eighties when he was on Radio 1.  Dave Doubledecks, Mr Angry etc etc.

Must admit I wasn't as fond of his R2 show.  Cane across as arrogant and sycophantic.  But 69 is way too young.  RIP

I was slightly shocked and saddened to hear this news on the drive home tonight.

He seemed to have been on the radio for as long as I can remember listening to it.

Those TOTP re-runs on BBC Four will have even more of a sense of nostalgia now.

RIP Steve.

You were better than Scott Mills.
