Hooray Arensman, a fantastic result for my fellow countryman.
Ganna wasn't to bad either.

I bet Ineos wish there was a Team Time Trial, five riders in the top 12 today, even with Sheffield crashing.

Glad Ganna got his win, G's back to second and Pogi's even further ahead. Bring on the mountains.

Ooh - a new OOD (Object Of Desire):

Fellow Aiden Precision Coffee Maker

Better start saving my pennies. Hopefully a UK-plugged version by the end of the year.

By that time there should be plenty of reviews so I can see if it is as good as it initially seems to be.

Now if they would only do a white version to match my espresso machine and my grinder. Ho hum.

Resumed working my way through Breaking Bad.

Intended to watch two episodes last night, but of course I had to cram in another, S02 Ep 01.

I hardly ever describe something as a "masterpiece" - but this really is a modern masterpiece.

FM - Blue Sky Mind

The final track from their latest album is an absolute pop-rock gem, should be the song of the summer, on every radio station and my track of 2024 so far.

Even my Taylor Swift-loving little 'un gave it 6.9/10 - that's remarkably high praise for "Dad's music", folks. 8)

For context: 250,000,000 doses of Moderna have been given in the USA alone.

13,500,000,000 doses of all vaccines globally.

We're three and a half years down the line, so where are we up to with the relative risk of severe outcomes from the virus vs. vaccines?

Quote from: Thenop on May 17, 2024, 02:04:11 PMEven though the vinyl is not here yet, I can still listen to the live Ayreon show form last September. One of the songs not on the featured album (01011001) but from the latest Star One album is now up on youtube. It's worth a listen if it's your sort of thing. It has Unleash the Archers singer Brittany Slayes and oh boy does she have a set of pipes on her...
Oh I hate you ;) Now there is another band I need to check out and get hold of some CDs from.
In a similar vein discovered Blackbriar recently. A Dark Euphony is a great album.

Surprised my third go turned out to be the solution. First word I thought of to fit, and I was too idle to try to find something more promising. About a minute.
