😢 picked the wrong tree. Let's just call line 2 a typo.

Another good result for me today. I wonder if I am starting to 'get in their heads' a little.

Slim

So close to getting it in two.

Took a while to think of a second word to fit.

Went quickly and well today. Fortunately I ditched my initial start word idea which had been niggling away at me since yesterday and just picked something sensible. It was a hole-in-one fantasy notion, buy hey, desperate times. Not as desperate as the weather. I think there's been an unreported partial eclipse. So dark and miserable.

Oh dear! All in now and nobody tripped up badly today. Sorry to sound so ungracious. It's only a game.

There's a strong element of chance, as well.

I should be grateful that I don't have the SYRUP egg on my face today. 😂

Took ages for a big fat fail. I was determined to get this on three, but the number of possibilities conspired against me. I'll get my coat.

Well - a great starting word, inspired by last night's GBBO final (BREAD). How close I was with my thought! Should have had it in 2 in hindsight. I really feel Picnic's pain - we have all been in that position more than once :(

So with all the penultimate round scores in, it's Reg's to lose on 34 points. Mathematically, I could still win (only 3 points behind). I could still come third, as well. Both highly improbable, I feel.

What a spooky choice Reg, well done. I almost started with SYRUP the day after MAPLE was the conclusion. I know full well that Wordle doesn't operate that way, but my "desperation" made me hope that the new editor perhaps has a Canadian connection (and maybe a sense of humour). Kicking myself today though as I changed my start word with at the last minute. It was going to be TOKEN which would have given me a great chance of an early guess. I steered away from the letter K though and opted for TEACH. That'll teach me. Good luck to you both for tomorrow. I'll be really annoyed if I hit an ace.

3 minutes, of which 1 was spent deciding on a starting word sufficiently different from yesterday.

Bad start but a good recovery. When I saw the last 2 letters turn green, and given the limited vowels left to play with, the answer was obvious.

Well done Reg! 👏 👍
