I thoroughly enjoyed the first Fantastic Beasts film and have watched it more than once, but I thought the 2nd film far too messy / disjointed.

I can't say the thought of watching the 3rd instalment thrills me but no doubt I will on a small screen some day.

Hatching (aka Pahanhautoja) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12519030/  A very odd movie from Finland about a young girl who finds, and hatches, a very strange egg. Some really weird ways of doing things these Finns, but as a whole it sort of works in a way. 7/10

TOTP 1983 on BBC Four.

Featuring Little Angels playing (well, semi-playing) Womankind.

They deserved a wider following.

Speaking of which, now here's the one and only Paul McCartney in the studio performing Hope Of Deliverance.

Yes, I'd completely forgotten about this baffling dud of a song as well. :-\

The Northman - The latest Viking movie starring Alexander Skarsgård. Neither my wife or I liked this one. The story wasn't great but the execution was even worse. It dragged too and by the hundredth roar I'd had enough. Lots of weird arty scenes which only added to the unnecessary length. Apart from Skarsgård it was miscast as well. If I'd seen this in a cinema I would probably have walked out. Watch Vikings instead. 3/10

Yes, especially disappointing as Robert Eggers' previous film The Lighthouse was so good.

Quite, The Lighthouse was excellent.

Moon Knight - Marvel/Egyptian adventures. The premise sounds daft but it's really done quite well. And with only 6 episodes there is little superfluous padding. Oscar Isaac plays the 2 characters well and the action is great. 8/10

Didn't enjoy it and I wanted to after the trailers, started okay and tailed off badly (5/10).

Only one episode of Love,Death & Robots to go...the episode after Masons Rats which was excellent !!
For the first time in years I'm watching a show as it comes out weekly, Obi-Wan Kenobi and really enjoying it so far.
Ozark Season 4 (watching with the wife), only 3 episodes to go.

Downloading The Man Who Fell To Earth as the episodes get released (my 2nd most read book).

Well, we've just finished Moon Knight and an enjoyable romp it was too, with a nice little after-credit scene at the end.

started series 3 of Missions
and I am gripped....

Leave No Trace

Inspired by a true story, a father and his teenage daughter live off grid in a forest on the edge of downtown Portland.

This reminded me of the hugely over-rated Nomadland, and while Leave No Trace is smaller in scope, it's also superior for it.

There's nothing earth-shaking here, but it held my interest.

Dallas Buyers Club

Good; most notable for the two principal performances from Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, for which they won Oscars for Leading Actor and Supporting Actor respectively at the 2014 Academy Awards - quite understandably.

Rating: ***

Shining Girls - An eight episode sci-fi mystery starring Elizabeth Moss. A woman who was brutally assaulted meets a reporter and together try to figure out the mysterious serial killings carried out on various women over the years. It has elements of time travel and parallel universes and whilst a slow burner it's gripping stuff. 8.5/10
